Hi,

My first reply was from home, where I didn't have a test setup (only
win2k and linux here), the second from work where I have a few more
testmachines ready...
[sizeof change]

I just left it with the new sizeof, but there may be side-effects?

Is was by accident I stumbled upon this, I created a standalone
application for distro on cdrom (win platform), and a test-version
containing 4.1.0 worked fine with ftp, but gave problems with persistent
odbc connections... I switched to 4.2.0-dev to solve that (actually
quite happy, because the odbc-code was changed just three days before
that and that solved my problem), and sent a new test-version to the
client, who promptly reported that odbc worked but ftp failed...
I had some other win95/98 specific problems as well starting 16-bit
console apps from php (it hangs), but that's a whole other story :-)

Yeah, if this affects all socket/connect calls...

Don't worry, it's in the -dev cvs so I expect some things not to work.
At least we caught it in time before release branch started.

I hope you didn't do too much work already if a lot of changes are
required...

Probably... if you need some more testing of stuff, I have a 98 machine
at work that I can use to test a lot of things, just tell me what's
needed.
Cheerio, Marc.
