It's only free, if your time is worthless (tm? maybe).
And it's 185MB, so if you don't have a fat pipe to the net, you
are screwed anyway.
I've downloaded it once and even installed it. It does install
only under glibc-2.0.x, so if you have anything else, forget it.
Once you have installed it, it runs fine with glibc-2.1.
Installation process is easy, if you follow the detailed
instructions on the Technet pages. Due to lacking time, I haven't
gone further than that - I promise to experiment further, once
the TODO list in the oci8 module is down to 0 entries. ;-)
