There's no reason they couldn't run on the same machine. Install
Cyrus IMAPD as user 'cyrus' with a .qmail-default that is
"|/path/to/cyrus/deliver $EXT". If someone with an account on the
php.net wants to forward their mail into the IMAP system, they just
have to set their .qmail-default file to "&cyrus-username". You could
even do a little bit more magic in user cyrus's .qmail-default to allow
messages to be forwarded into specific mailboxes.
(There may also need to be a step in there necessary to create user
accounts with Cyrus IMAPD.)
