Umm....
theres no problem running qmail and storing mbox format mailboxes.
(is this what you're asking??)
This gives two positive things
#1. lets us use qmail..qmail is our friend..
#2. give us the standard mbox formatted mailboxes, meaning we can plug in
whatever imapd we want (since they almost all can read mbox mailboxes)
(also gives the ability to access it with a pop client/server.
Also, popping in a web frontend it easy too, once you have an imap server.
why do people here have to standardize on one way to read mail?
IMHO, lets setu pa pop, imap, and web mail interface.
i guess i'm a little confused as to what the problem is..
we can mix and match MTA's, MUA's and mail servers almost
interchangably.
Chek's imapd can work fine with mbox mailboxes.
i'm going to go read this thread again and see if i can figure out
exactly where the confusion and conflicts are, cause i'm still
a little confused...
