No "need" doesn't prevent the user from doing so, especially since you don't bundle the sabcmd utility (I use it frequently to identify if it's a php bug or Sablotron bug or use it as xslt processor in an editor like XML Spy). Further more, you don't have the JavaScript functionality. There is much to say for downloading the Sablotron package, rather than using the bundled dll. The name change in expat, has the potential to become a support nightmare (remember the xmltok/xmlparse age). The bundled version of Sablotron is 0.90 in PHP 4.2.2
Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-08-28 05:15:24] msopacua@idg.nl Actually - expat changed the name to libexpat.dll. The latest Sablotron, uses the latest expat and looks for libexpat. What Sablotron version are you using? If you install the complete windows package from gingerall, does this solve your problem? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-08-28 03:19:10] edink@php.net Sorry, meant expat.dll. Did you copy them to the system folder? Apache might have different environment (path and such) so even though the dependencies are satisfied when you run the dependancy walker, the apache service is unable to find them. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-08-27 19:35:18] tony@marston-home.demon.co.uk Do you mean expat.dll or libexpat.dll? According to Dependency Walker it only uses expat.dll, which it has found. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-08-27 17:28:15] edink@php.net I suspected that those deep dependencies were not cause of the problem, as I have the same situation here and everything works fine. Unfortunatelly, I'm out of suggestions too. The only thing you can do is double check that you have copied files from dlls folder of the PHP distribution into windows system directory (c:\windows\system on ME?). Especially sablot.dll and libexpat.dll which are needed for for php_xslt.dll ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-08-27 13:40:49] tony@marston-home.demon.co.uk I have managed to acquire copies of apphelp.dll and userenv.dll, buy php_xslt.dll still fails to load. When I now look at it with Dependency Walker there are no missing files, but there is the following message: Warning: At least one module has an unresolved import due to a missing export function in a delay-load dependent module. There seems to be several Delay Load modules, but only one (c:\windows\system\OLE32.DLL) seems to have an Import/Export Mismatch or Load Failure. Does this help in any way? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The remainder of the comments for this report are too long.
