The problem started when buildconf required new versions of
autoconf/automake/libtool.
I got them from GNU, upgraded and this was the result.
And "grep AC_DISABLE_FAST_INSTALL aclocal.m4" gives :
AC_DEFUN(AC_DISABLE_FAST_INSTALL, [AC_BEFORE([$0],[AC_LIBTOOL_SETUP])dnl
if(a,b,[AC_DISABLE_FAST_INSTALL])dnl
