Bug Type: Documentation problem

PHP Version: Irrelevant
New Comment:
PHP mainly just throws "errors", not exceptions, if a method or
function throws an exception information can be found on their manual
page.
Is that what you mean?

Description:
------------
I miss a note about Exceptions within the exception documentation. The
question is: does PHP itself throws exceptions or not? Does any of the
functions throw exceptions? Or does exception solely created by
programmers? What leads to the question: does one should install an
general exception handler since PHP itself throws exception?
Hope it is ok to request this by a bug report. Sorry if it doesn't.
If it takes some time to integrate this into the documentation I would
be glad if one could mail me a short answer.
This information may be some where. But I don't know how to find it.
Thank you!
