Since the online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient. Thank you for the report, and for helping us make our documentation better. Sorry it took so long ... Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2015-04-14 21:40:57] teo8976 at gmail dot com Forget my previous comment. Apcu actually _is_ a drop-in replacement, it was just not working because the debian package is broken. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2015-04-14 11:00:51] teo8976 at gmail dot com So, is it going to stay like this forever?? Also, the README claims it is a "drop-in replacement" to APC (as far as user cache is concerned). Drop-in replacement needs code written to work with APC should work out of the box, and that's not true. The fuction apc_fetch(), just to name one, does not exist. Perhaps it's just a matter of renaming every apc_whatever to apcu_whatever, but that's not a "drop-in" replacement at all. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2013-10-15 09:14:49] matteosistisette at gmail dot com Description: ------------ http://pecl.php.net/package/APCu There's no "View Documentation" link as is usually found in other packages, and there's not even a description of what APCu is. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=65898&edit=1
