The verb "to assume" is translated to "assumer" in French ( "to take
upon oneself") instead of "supposer".

// L'affiche ci-dessous suppose que nous sommes sur une platerforme
32-bit.
It's a common mistake as there are a few words in English that are
written the same way in French and have the same definition but this one
is what we call a "false friend" as the definition isn't the same ( at
least, not in this context).
