Since the online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient. Thank you for the report, and for helping us make our documentation better. I removed the line saying that you should have CGI, as the documentation is very old and alot of new things have been added to php meanwhile that APD seems to support. However I could not find any supporting documentation to back this up nor could I think of a reason why this would be necessary. Because of this I tried installing into my php install which was set up as an apache module and sure enough it worked without any problems. I suspect that the manual meant to say CLI and not CGI.
