Bug description: date.timezone.errors.description lacks change from E_STRICT to E_WARNING
Description:
------------
On the latest date/time related documentation, it has error/exception
description as follows, in language-snippets.ent's
date.timezone.errors.description.
"Every call to a date/time function will generate a E_NOTICE if the time
zone is not valid, and/or a E_STRICT message if using the system settings
or the TZ environment variable. See also date_default_timezone_set()"
Strictly speaking, this is not valid. From PHP 5.3.0 RC1, date/time
related functions emits not E_STRICT but E_WARNING.
Yes, This change is explained in date_default_timezone_set function, but
we should change this generic error description because this change will
affects all date/time related functions, I think.
Reproduce code:
---------------
for example, strtotime function's "Errors/Exceptions" section.
http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.strtotime.php
Expected result:
----------------
Every call to a date/time function will generate a E_NOTICE if the time
zone is not valid, and/or a E_STRICT or E_WARNING message if using the
system settings or the TZ environment variable. See also
date_default_timezone_set()
Actual result:
--------------
Every call to a date/time function will generate a E_NOTICE if the time
zone is not valid, and/or a E_STRICT message if using the system settings
or the TZ environment variable. See also date_default_timezone_set()
