Assigned to myself (salathe). There is a lot to go through so it may
take a while but this is just to confirm there is someone working on
SplFileObject.

Well, it's about time we start raising awareness of this. It's not
normal that big extension goes in core undocumented since 5.1.

Its a known issue, over half of the SPL documentation is not
documented, but its slowly in progress.

See phpdoc/scripts/check-missing-spldocs.php for a list of undocumented
classes.

even mentioned except as result of SplFileInfo::openFile
