From: david at sickmiller dot com Operating system: PHP version: Irrelevant PHP Bug Type: Documentation problem Bug description: Bug in example for xmlrpc_encode_request Description: ------------ The documentation for xmlrpc_encode_request includes these two lines: $response = xmlrpc_decode($file); if (xmlrpc_is_fault($response)) { xmlrpc_decode's result type is mixed. When it returns something that is not an array, the following notice is thrown: PHP Notice: xmlrpc_is_fault(): Array argument expected in <file> on line <line> In bug #40793, it was reasserted that this notice from xmlrpc_is_fault() is by design. Thus, the example code must be wrong.
