Status: Verified
Bug Type: Documentation problem
Operating System: Win vista / Google Chrome
PHP Version: Irrelevant
New Comment:
At the moment, there are no images stored in the translations. All
images are sourced from the /en/ structure and copied to the translation
specific
folders during the creation of the manual.
So, imagettftext.xml contains the url of <imagedata
fileref="en/reference/image/figures/imagettftext.png"/>
If the example was translated to use native language content (say
something like $text = 'í
ì¤í¸...'), a new image could be stored
within the language
specific structure ...
<imagedata fileref="kr/reference/image/figures/imagettftext.png"/>
<imagedata fileref="ja/reference/image/figures/imagettftext.png"/>
As it stands though, the Korean manual has not been rebuilt for
sometime; since 24th July 2009.
But on http://docs.php.net, the Korean manual was last rebuilt in
28th
July 2009. This server does show the correct images.

The image doesn't exist in the kr version of the documentation.
Our system apparently doesn't 'fallback' to the english images like it
does for untranslated text..

Description:
------------
I've read the doc about image control.
The expample #1 in the doc
"http://kr.php.net/manual/kr/function.imagettftext.php"
the sample
output doesn't appear properly.
But I can see that one clear on
"http://kr.php.net/manual/en/function.imagettftext.php"
I think something's wrong with the URL of that image.
Reproduce code:
---------------
---
From manual page: function.imagettftext#ì
---
Expected result:
----------------
N/A
Actual result:
--------------
N/A
