Log: Fixed PHP bug #51790 (Some OpenSSL function parameters are
underdocumented)
------------------------------------------------------------------------
[2010-05-11 09:21:20] aharvey@php.net
Description:
------------
A number of OpenSSL functions take "mixed $x509" parameters that are
actually either resources or strings. The possible values are documented
on a separate page within the OpenSSL chapter (namely "Key/Certificate
Parameters"), but the function pages have blank parameter descriptions.
It would be better if they either linked to the Key/Certificate
Parameters page or included the text on the acceptable values
themselves.
openssl_x509_export() is an example that shows the problem: note the
blank description under the x509 parameter.
A similar issue also appears to apply to public and private key
parameters within the OpenSSL documentation.
