The possible values are documented on a separate page within the OpenSSL chapter (namely "Key/Certificate Parameters"), but the function pages have blank parameter descriptions. It would be better if they either linked to the Key/Certificate Parameters page or included the text on the acceptable values themselves. openssl_x509_export() is an example that shows the problem: note the blank description under the x509 parameter.
