Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2010-09-10 04:53:07] aharvey@php.net Automatic comment from SVN on behalf of aharvey Revision: http://svn.php.net/viewvc/?view=revision&revision=303248 Log: Fix doc bug #52806 (key_exists (alias of array_key_exists) undocumented) by adding key_exists() to the list of function aliases and moving the note about the deprecated alias to the normal place on the array_key_exists() manual page. Also removed the now horribly out of date note on the function alias list about it being correct "as of 4.0.6". ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2010-09-10 04:43:24] aharvey@php.net Happily, we already have somewhere for this: the list of function aliases at http://php.net/manual/en/aliases.php. The normal procedure (based on the MySQL deprecated aliases) seems to be a listing there and a note on the manual page. I'll take care of that for key_exists(). ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2010-09-09 22:40:10] philip@php.net I don't think we need a manual page for this, and am unsure exactly what to do. Maybe list all these old/dead/deprecated aliases somewhere? Referring to them all over the place may add needless clutter. And the following checks for missing docs: http://svn.php.net/viewvc/phpdoc/doc-base/trunk/scripts/check-missing-docs.php? view=markup It also skips known deprecated features like key_exists(). ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2010-09-09 22:23:54] mfonda@php.net Description: ------------ The function key_exists is an alias of array_key_exists, but does not have an alias page or appear anywhere in the manaul. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=52806&edit=1
