This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the

to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.
Thank you for the report, and for helping us make our documentation

Log: array elements, not array variables.
Fix bug #53240

Aha! Actually "array variables" cannot be include as such. Doing so
would output
"Array".
But " Any scalar variable, array element or object property" certainly
makes more
sense.
Thank you.

The documentation indicates array variables can be included. The problem
is it does not indicate the possibility to include ******ELEMENTS
OF****** array variables.

DOC : "Any scalar variable, >>>array variable<<< or object property with
a string representation".
YOU : "does not indicate that the complex syntax allows accessing
elements of >>>array variable<<<s"

Description:
------------
To continue http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=52897
which remains closed,
the new documentation text - "Any scalar variable, array variable or
object property with a string representation can be included via this
syntax." - does not indicate that the complex syntax allows accessing
elements of array variables ({$arr['bar]}).
