Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2012-07-20 05:38:22] aharvey@php.net Automatic comment from SVN on behalf of aharvey Revision: http://svn.php.net/viewvc/?view=revision&revision=326721 Log: Fix doc bug #62542 (User comment incorrect and misleading. No real docs to read.). ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2012-07-12 16:25:35] michael dot white at mediamacros dot net Description: ------------ --- From manual page: http://www.php.net/imagick.clone --- One user reported that clone() is deprecated and that the clone keyword should be used instead as of 3.1.0. However, when using the clone keyword you actually get an exception thrown stating that you are trying to clone an unclonable object. The fix is to use the clone method of the Imagick class instead of the clone keyword. The user comment should be removed and, if necessary, replaced with accurate information on when the clone() method was deprecated, when/if it will be removed, and when/if the clone keyword will ever work in the future. Test script: --------------- <?php $image = new Imagick(); $clonedImage = $image->clone(); // Works $anotherClonedImage = clone $image; // Throws an exception ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=62542&edit=1
