Well, as my comment on that bug states, and as can be seen in the Zend
source, it is that way because that's how it is in Perl. Not a good reason
from my perspective since PHP != Perl. But I also recall commenting that
strings shouldn't be incremented to begin with :)
Anyone feel brave enough to start this thred in php.internals or on the
zend.engine2 list?
