I found out (after hours of frustration some of which is admittedly my fault) that there are depricated names for certain functions. For example, pg_exec was replaced with pg_query in php <= 4.2 All php programmers access the same function list. pg_exec is a valid function for many of us. It should be on the function list as long as the website provides support for versions < 4.2 Thank you very much for your consideration.
