In response to Mehdi Achour's message:

I meant the docs that everybody use often, the core functions and
the most popular extensions. Do they develop intensively?

I think it would not consume much resources or space.
And you might just give the link to didou.keliglia.com or some other
third-party resource.

Thank you very much, this seems to be just the thing I wanted.
Although I have finally pulled the CVS with cvsgrab. It works
through the web interface of cvs.php.net. It took several hours and
probably loaded the server much.

Something is done already, but it is an early alpha. A list of
functions, their prototypes and short descriptions, invoked on a
hotkey. It must work in most Vims (if appropriate features compiled
in). So testers are welcome. The list is made from the HTML files
in the CHM version of manual. What I want is to include all the
functions, operators and predefined variables/constants. And
probably something else. And integrate it with a bigger help, like
the vimdoc format or HTML/CHM format.
The plugin is at
http://vim.sourceforge.net/scripts/script.php?script_id=1304.
