news.php.net is a NNTP (news) server. You'll need to use a newsreader
program to get to the newsgroups. In the newsreader, set the news
server to be news.php.net. Then you can subscribe to newsgroups on the
server. This mailing list appears as php.general.
Hope this helps!
Stephen.
