Thanks! What I have is a need to be paged if a file doesn't arrive in a timely manner. I've already gotten alphanumeric paging up using a <FORM ACTION=pager.html>, but I'm {mystified|stupefied} as to the mechanics of sending the page without the "Submit" button to kick it off to the pager company. The email gateway sounds like a plan. -----Original Message----- From: Chris Adams [mailto:chris@digitaria.com] Sent: Thursday, August 03, 2000 5:09 PM To: php-general Subject: Re: [PHP] Pager function > Has anyone been able to send a page to a beeper from php? Yes. Many paging services provide an email gateway of the form $PhoneNumber@provider.(com|net). If you need to use something else, details depend on your system; you might need to use a modem to dial the number or send something to a custom system. In most cases this should be easy to do with PHP. -- PHP General Mailing List (http://www.php.net/) To unsubscribe, e-mail: php-general-unsubscribe@lists.php.net For additional commands, e-mail: php-general-help@lists.php.net To contact the list administrators, e-mail: php-list-admin@lists.php.net
