It doesn't seem to be OS-specific.
Here is my configure line on Solaris 2.7 system:
./configure --with-mysql --with-apxs=/opt/apache-1.3.12/bin/apxs
Apache segfaults too.
I did some debugging (not too much due to a lack of time), apache dies
in one of the functions in http_config.c, but the actual problem seems
to be with memory allocation for the module structure (to the best of
my knowledge; please correct me if I am wrong).
