Not that I am aware.
Anyway, if you use MySQL with both Metabase and PHPlib stuff that relies on
db and each of the packages access different MySQL databases, there might be
a problem.
The problem is that if you connect more than once in the same server in
the same script PHP will use the same MySQL connections. This is not a good
idea if you use database transactions, but until not very long ago MySQL
didn't support transactions neither phplib seems to support them.
Anyway, this is the way PHP works with MySQL and the real problem of
reusing the same connection in the same script is that MySQL only works
with one selected database at the same time.
If you use PHPlib to access one database and Metabase to access another,
PHPlib MySQL db driver class will get lost because it doesn't assure that
the correct database is properly selected on each query.
Metabase doesn't have this problem, but since it assures that the right
database is selected, alternating Metabase queries with PHPlib queries may
make PHPlib work erroneously.
