It should work with the general windows path. In any case, another way to do it is in Visual C++ go to Tools->Options->Directories->[Executable files] and add your Cygnus bin dir to it. Also make sure you have a \tmp (besides \temp) on your Windows machine.

I am trying to compile PHP 4.0 on my Windows box using Visual C++ 6.0 since I need to add my own custom functions for a port to Windows. I am following the instructions found on the PHP web site at http://www.php.net/version4/win32build.php I have downloaded and installed all of the necessary components, but everytime I go to build the project, at the ZendTS portion of the build, I get the following errors: -------------------------------------------------------------- Performing Custom Build Step on ".\zend-parser.y" The name specified is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. Performing Custom Build Step on ".\zend-scanner.l" The name specified is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. Error executing c:\winnt\system32\cmd.exe. --------------------------------------------------------------- From the command line, I am able to execute all of the Cygwin applications (bison, flex, etc.) from my PHP source directories (the PATH variable is set correctly), so I am at a loss as to where to continue. Has anyone else encountered this problem? I am trying to compile the source code from PHP 4.0.1pl2 on a Windows NT 4.0 machine. At this point I am only trying to compile the full release without adding any new code of my own. Thanks.
