Hehe.. just recompiled the WHOLE thing (it didn't really take me much time to do that coz I got every single procedure written down already. just cut and paste the commands...) and now Apache is compiled with MySQL 3.23.22-beta client API. The PHPLib problem still exists, so I think it's not the problem of PHP+APACHE... It should be the inconsistence between old and new MySQL or the PHPLib code itself... I'll download newest version of PHPLib (phplib-7.2c) and see if it helps anything. Thanks all for reading this thread.
