A TEXT or BLOB field should do it. If you're really having trouble, you
could base64 encode it before you insert it, then decode it when you
retrieve it.

Subject: [PHP] preserve text formatting
Is there any way to preserve text formatting of a string when inserting it
into a mysql database field? I know I could wrap it with some html, but I
really don't need that kind of formatting, I just need to preserve the
carriage returns and new line calls.
I was thinking maybe I was using the wrong kind of mysql field, but after
looking at the manual, I don't see anything like what I need. Is there
something in PHP that can do the job?
Thanks,
Greg
