Here is a copy of the html form I am trying to use (just something simple) <body> <form METHOD="POST" action="form2.php3">Enter Number&nbsp;<input size=3 maxlength=3 NAME="x">Enter Second Number&nbsp;<input size=3 maxlength=3 name="y"><input TYPE="Submit" Value="Enter These Numbers"></form> </body></html> Then I am just trying to pass it to a php file in the same directory, just for fun like this one: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML//EN"> <html> <head> <title>test</title> </head> <body> <?php // request.phtml file. This is a comment line // the comment must be in the PHP block echo "thanks for the time <br>"; echo "X: $x <br>"; echo "Y: $y <br>"; ?> </body> </html> When on the form and php file are on the remote server, it returns exactly what you expect it to, thanks for the time and then the values of X and Y but when I load this form into my borwse using the local copy of the form, the submit button does nothing. Why is that? Thanks "Andrew V. Romero" wrote: > I was looking at creating an html form and then passing its variables > into a php file for formatting and other things like that.
