hi, i'm asking on how to install php4 on win98 and pws. below is the instructions from www.php.com.hk. i have doubts about step 20. does step 20 mean i have to replace the folder "c:\inetpub\wwwroot" by "c:\php4\php.exe -q %1" and check "execute". but a warning tells me that the folder doesn't exist. shall i proceed? please reply soon.I'm assuming with PWS, c:\inetpub\wwwroot is your document root, similar to DocumentRoot in Apache. If it's asking you to replace it with the location of the php executable with some switches, then you need to make sure you have a directory called php4 in the root of your c:\ drive with the php.exe executable in the top level of that directory. Start -> Run Type in: c:\php4 Hit enter. If nothing comes up, then you need to Start -> Find -> Files or Folders and search for php.exe If it finds it, then that's your location. If it doesn't make sure you're searching the right drive, assuming you did install PHP first. Brian
