i'm asking on how to install php4 on win98 and pws.
below is the instructions from www.php.com.hk. i have doubts about step 20.
does step 20 mean i have to replace the folder "c:\inetpub\wwwroot" by
"c:\php4\php.exe -q %1" and check "execute". but a warning tells me that the
folder doesn't exist. shall i proceed? please reply soon.

Install PHP4 on Win98 with PWS:
1) Extract the downloaded file to a directory. e.g. "c:\php4"
2) Copy the file - php.ini-dist - to your Windows directory, e.g.
"c:\windows" , and rename it to php.ini
3) Edit your php.ini file - change the extension_dir setting to point to
your php-install-dir. e.g. "extension_dir = c:\php4"
4) Run Regedit ( click "Start -> Run", then type "Regedit" )
5) Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / System / CurrentControlSet / Services /
W3Svc / Parameters / Script Map
6) On the edit menu select: New->String Value
7) Type in the extension you wish to use for your PHP scripts. e.g. ".php"
8) Double click on the new string value and enter the path to php.exe in the
value data field. e.g. "c:\php4\php.exe %s %s". The '%s %s' is VERY
important, PHP will not work properly without it.
9) Now navigate to: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT
10) On the edit menu select: New->Key
11) Name the key to the extension you setup in the previous section. e.g.
".php"
12) Highlight the new key and in the right side pane, double click the
"default value" and enter phpfile
13) Now create another New->Key under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and name it phpfile
14) Highlight the new key phpfile and in the right side pane, double click
the "default value" and enter PHP Script
15) Right click on the phpfile key and select New->Key, name it Shell
16) Right click on the Shell key and select New->Key, name it open
17) Right click on the open key and select New->Key, name it command
18) Highlight the new key command and in the right side pane, double click
the "default value" and enter the path to php.exe, e.g. "c:\php4\php.exe -q
%1" (don't forget the %1).
19) Exit Regedit
20) In Personal Web Manager, right click Home and select properties, give
the execute right to that directory
21) Restart your computer
