I think that's not the problem. I get the square simbol that marks when a char
is not available. It seems a encoding detection problem. Previously works well
and now I get those squares. And is not a problem of Unicode. I have tested
also with unicode chars, and the problem stil exists.
Also I'm using standar 256 png files, not true color.
Anyway, is interesting your path. I think I'm going to need TTF on full-color
images, so I will check that patch... :)
