I just love when they give me "examples" that I have to download and install...
If it's examples of client side stuff, can't they just show it to me in the
browser.
This appears fairly complex javascipt stuff that interfaces with
a java applet that then calls remote stuff on the server. Can it
be done in PHP? It's NOT being done in ASP or PHP now - the
backend server thing is, but the majority of it is done in java
and javascript right now.
After all the rigmarole of setting things up is done,
it looks like you call the ASP like so:
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript" for="btnSquare" event="onclick">
number1 = txt1.value;
context = "squaring";
co = RSExecute("RSmath.asp","square",number1,showResults,context);
</SCRIPT>
Change 'RSmath.asp' to some PHP script and you would, I assume, be in
business. That ASP page is simply going to accept some type
of parameter from the calling page, that's it. PHP can do the same
thing.
