Thanks for the links to the docs, it may or may not surprise you, but,
i've actually seen your document before :)
The specific problem I had is the one you describe as "The symptoms of
this problem is a php error message stating "odbc_connect failed for reason
%%$%" (where %%$% is some random gibberish)." And I tried your
suggestion of adding ". /home/db2inst1/sqllib/db2profile" to my
/etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd -- but, still get the same error after ./httpd
restart'ing.....
