Hi,
I know this topic has been partly covered but..
The http://www.php.net/manual points to the php3
documentation while this
may seem petty I was looking for details on installing PHP as a CGI
I have installed PHP as a module, everythings happy there bar a few
segfaults and things
However, the CGI one is not working so well.
If my php binary is placed in say /usr/local/bin and I place therefore a
#!/usr/local/bin/php at the top of my sctipts and put them in the CGI
directory its not working.
The manual says to run a script called ./setup.. this didnt come with PHP4
src that I got
The manual also says I can do a ./do-conf but thats not there either.
If you have compiled a working CGI version (there must be people out there)
please could you help.
I end up with either
"No input file specified" or if I copy the binary into the directory which I
didnt want to do I can end up with Premature end of script headers:
/wwwpath/cgi-bin/php
Either way, it still hates me
All I wanted my CGI script to do was to send back an exe after updating a
counter.. Can anyone help? But I dont want the users to be able to extract
in anyway where the exe is stored, so bouncing to its location with a
header("Location: ....../something.exe") wont suffice.
