Most things should work flawlessly, but there is a chance that something may
hiccup. What I would do is install PHP4 as well as PHP3 on your development
or qa server (if applicable) and do some testing. That will be the only
real way to know if it works.
Further there are a couple resources on the differences between PHP3 and
PHP4.
