You could run PHP as a CGI instead of a module. Users would have to put the "bang" line at the top of their scripts: #!/usr/local/php/php-cgi (or wherever you installed it). --Bruce Bruce Christensen Intel Corporation brucex.r.christensen@intel.com -----Original Message----- From: Brian Kolaci [mailto:bk@Kola.com] Sent: Friday, August 11, 2000 8:17 PM To: php-general@lists.php.net Subject: [PHP] PHP/Apache security Hi, I have PHP 3.0.16 and Apache 1.3.12. I have virtual websites configured with "User" tags which works well for CGI, but how do I make sure the PHP pages also get the user id set? Is it possible? There's a security concern running as the same ID as the webserver and having them open/create files. I didn't see any "security" section of the FAQ, is there one?
