You could probably do something not unlike:
exec("echo $blob | /full/path/to/rtf2html", $html, $error");
while (list(,$line) = each($html)){
echo $line, "\n";
}
if ($error){
echo "rtf2html failed with OSError $error. Usually paths/permisssions";
}
Assumption: rtf2html exists out there somewhere.
