PHP won't come out of .tar.gz

Hi everybody,
My Linux box screwed last weekend. I got upset with it and destroyed it.
:)
I'm building my server back up again. I downloaded php4.0.1pl2 a bit ago.
I did:
$ tar xfz php-4.0.1pl2.tar.gz
When it's almost done, I get this error:
gzip: stdin: unexpected end of file
tar: Unexpected EOF in archive
tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
That extracts SOME of the contents. This causes a big problem however.
When I go to ./configure php, i get this error:
configure: error: can not find install-sh or install.sh in . ./ .. ./ ../
.
Anybody know why I get this or how I can fix it? Thanks!!!
