All,
I've an interesting situation ...
I have a command-line executed script which is designed to run other
scripts by including them. Some of these other scripts are going to run
for long periods of time (> 5 hours) ... so I have set the
max_execution_time directive to 0 to avoid any time limit.
The scripts execute correctly ... but (because of a bug in my code) ...
the code looped and tried to include the script again.
The 2nd time round - the script bombed out with the "Maximum execution
time of 30 seconds exceeded in ..." error. I know it executed once
correctly for 12 hours ... yet on this second loop - it failed to run
properly.
Any idea why?
My code is simple:
while($db1==1){
include($scriptname);
$db1=0;
}
(before you ask about the reason for a single loop - it's a bit of test
code so will be extended later to loop as many times as necessary).
Cheers,
Michael.
