Gettext problems.

I am trying to get gettext to work, but I just can't get it to do anything. I am working on win xp running an apache server and php 4.0.5 and a redhat7.2 also with apache. I can't get anything out... gettext don't even seem to send out any errors. Can anyone help me? I have both the .mo and the .po files stored in inc/locale/sv_SE/LC_MESSAGES to .mo file I did not manage to compie at all on the linux machine, but I did get it under windows, does it matter which one I use, do I have to compile it under linux to get it to work under linux, or is my windows-compiled file ok to use? As far as I can understant this should really be all the code I need to use. putenv("LC_ALL=sv_SE"); textdomain("zinek"); bindtextdomain("zinek", "./inc/locale"); and it will go into the right folders fetch the po-files and translate my files.. but nothing happens... doe's any of you have any clues? thanks /peter a
