It depends on what you want to do.
If you just want to send information to the browser it's probably better to
use echo.
If, on the other hand you need to format your text, use the functionalty of
printf().
I use echo all the time to keep things standard. I also think that it is
slightly quicker but, i'll know for sure when I've tested this and i'll be
posting the results to a web site that I'm building at www.databasewatch.com
If you want to know the results, register on the site and we'll let you know
when we know.
