You have 2 options:
1) You can call the url that sends a SMS of varios SMS sites directly from
your script.
2) buy a GSM modem, consult it's documentation, and use it to send SMS's
from your site.
The first option might upset some web SMS service providers, while the
second is more expensive. Both are fairly easy to implement.
