This is just blind guessing, but try to send a CR/LF before the first read... You could also check out what types of POP3 servers are the ones you are conecting to. I found out (in another context) that the MS Exchange and the Linux pop3d behave differently on some minor issues (perhaps stated as "implementation dependent" in the POP3 rfc). Best regards, alex.
