I'm no guru either, but have you enabled MSSQL in the php.ini file?
[MSSQL]
;extension=php_mssql.dll

Subject: [PHP] Beginner PHP & M$ SQL Setup Question
All,
I have been lurking for sometime now and have what should be a very simple
question for all of you PHP Gurus (yes I am stroking your ego's here). I
have a client that uses PHP 4 and M$ SQL 7 on an NT 4 Server (no they won't
switch OSs, I tried), I can not get a connection to the SQL server (separate
box). What setup options should I check and which set of functions should I
be using??
TIA,
Kevin
P.S. - Please flame me off list at 432@xichi.org
