Actually, what I was meaning is that you probably do want to be doing 300 level errors. (error only being the code). Typically, when you want to redirect a web page to another page, you do this: header('302 Found'); header('Location: http://url....com'); the different 300's have diferent meanings. IE: The most common are: 301 means moved permanantly. 302 means moved temporarily. That is all that I meant. I was thinking that since you were sending a "location" without an error code, that the browser could have not been doing what you were expecting since it is under no obligation to do so. (One problem at a time)... trying to eliminate that as a problem so that we could get to the cookie issue. -jeremy brand _______________________________________________________________________ GnuPG Fingerprint: 9F5E 95E0 1CC2 E054 84EA 6099 8ACD 9DBA D2C0 5EA9 _ http://www.JeremyBrand.com/Jeremy/Brand/Jeremy_Brand.html for more __ > i don't even know what a 300 level redirect is, so i hope i'm not doing that. > > thx anyway, and i see that you can use uri's within Header. why do most code > references I see use fqdns in their header functions. it seems like it would > just add extra load to some part of the system. > > thx again. > > jeremy brand wrote: > > > It may be that you are not speaking proper HTTP.
