I tried to set-up PHP4 on my system (Mandrake 7.1) and the configure script exits with the following error 'lex output file not found, leaving directory'. What is lex and flex and why does php now need these programs? php3 was great and easy to install, this new and improved version seems to be more difficult. Any help would be appreciated. regards jrlee
