Linux Install

I am a newbie attempting to install php for the millionth time. Please have mercy on me! I had it installed, but reinstalled linux and now am failing. -I am running linux (suse 6.4- kernel 2.2.14) -apache is already installed and running -mysql is already installed and running (apache and mysql and the things I need to use with php) -I downloaded the current unix source php-4.0.1pl2 -I unarchived and unzipped it -I typed: configure --with-mysql -It did lots of healthy looking things -I typed: make install -It did more healthy looking things -I tried both rebooting and httpd reload at this point -I try to load a php page -It doesn't work. Brings up a "file save as" dialog. ANY help is GREATLY appriciated! I've been reading the manual and FAQ, but as hard as I think people try, a lot of the documents are brutal if you are new to this stuff. Thanks! P.S.
