Yes, it's accepting cookies, in fact warning me of it for the purposes of
debugging this error. If I add:
echo session_id();
it reports the same value I saw in the cookie warning, which corresponds to
a file /tmp/sess_[md5lookinghash]. However, PHP never writes my registered
variables to the file. If I manually put serialized values in there, it will
read them and make them part of my enviornment as expected.
